These adventures are great. Tremendous details of Wong's time in Great Britain. I was aware of some of it, but haven't seen anything as detailed. Sometimes makes me wonder why she ever left Europe!

I'm betting she had the inside track. Maybe she persuaded the chef at her favorite Chinese restaurant to go out to the country for a weekend? A fun question to think about!

Why do we love stories from the early 20th C of Hollywood movie stars mingling with British nobility? I'm ready to see this story on the screen one day.

It was great to chat (briefly) with you at the Pico House event!

I have a question regarding Anna’s stay at that location. Do we know what may have triggered it? I know of only one other similar breakdown with Anna- right after her father passed in 1949.

What likely triggered her trip to Sevenoaks was her poor reception in the play The Circle of Chalk. The critics complained she didn't sound the part because they didn't like her American accent!
